Five wedding dress trends for 2025

Wedding outfit trends change all the time, meaning that last year’s wedding guest dresses and bridesmaid dresses might rapidly look a little outdated! So, how can you make sure you’re on trend when considering outfits for your 2025 wedding? Here’s what to know about the big trends rolling out this year.

Colourful Bardot dresses

The number one wedding style for 2025 is the Bardot dress, with its demure styling and bold colours. Bardot dresses are usually worn as full-skirted mini dresses with a cinched-in waist, and the silhouette is incredibly feminine. Even better, this style of wedding guest dresses often comes with pockets for those essential items!

One shoulder designs

One-shoulder designs are making a comeback, along with simple designs. Perhaps we are seeing a little Kate Middleton or even, gasp, Melania influence here? This style is classic 60s, so think Chanel and top-quality fabrics. A jacquard fabric can look wonderful in this style, and you can accessorise like a pro with large sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat. After-party dresses

Some guests are now changing their wedding guest dresses into after-party dresses with metallics and plenty of fun, plus shorter hemlines. It’s not just the bride who can get out of a formal dress after a long day of vows and ceremony! Ask the bride how she wants her wedding party to mark the disco, and absolutely bust out your best disco dress if she’s keen for a real party!

Maxi dresses

Less of a trend and more of an iconic wedding staple, you can’t beat a maxi dress for a wedding, whether you’re the bride or a guest. Maxi dresses are incredibly comfortable, look stylish, and can be worn very successfully with flat shoes for comfort. They also look so flattering and are incredibly versatile, with plenty of fabulous prints on offer, or mono colours accessorised with bold jewellery.

Whichever fabulous dress you choose for your 2025 wedding, make sure you are comfortable and relaxed in it, as you’ll be photographed all day and on your feet!
